Attending a conference is like getting ready for Christmas. You buy gifts, do a lot of preparation work, can’t wait to see your beloved ones, and… Once it is over, you start thinking about next year’s holiday season almost immediately. Isn’t it the same with events?
For many of us, it is: the conference season for 2017 has just ended, and now we are back to the track - better to say, we are right in the middle of conferences!
If you read my previous blog entry on congresses, you probably know that I believe industry and non-industry events are crucial to being successful: these are THE FORUMS where you meet old peers, find new business partners, and learn about new technologies and trends that might make you re-consider your business strategy for the next couple of months or even years.
One can argue that ‘Hey, I am not going because this is far new to me, or I do not know anyone out there, or it would take simply too much of my time and I don’t want to lose any business just because I am not able to work 27 hours a day.’
Sure, attending a conference - and deciding on your presence beforehand - is always a challenge, as you need to ponder a whole lot of factors, from financial aspects to personal matters. So it doesn’t matter if you are a first-timer, a conference-goer or a passionate: you will have to step out from your comfort zone to be successful (which is not a single decision you will have to make, but rather a learning process you have to go through).
It is never easy to make a decision on a conference, and it is never easy to pick the most useful ones. To make it a bit easier for you, we have shortlisted a couple of events that we recommend to register for.
This is not a static list (not at all!), many others will be added in the coming weeks. So please, visit back at the beginning of each month, and let us help you make the right choice.
We are looking forward to meeting you all over the world, Guys!
