To kick off our series introducing members of memoQ's Americas Sales Hub, we interviewed David Enda, Regional Director of memoQ Americas, who shared his vision for the hub, his reasons for joining, his hobbies, and more.
When and why did you join memoQ?
I joined memoQ in October 2024 and was drawn to the company by its growing reputation in the US for innovation and best-in-class tools that empowered users. It felt like the perfect place to contribute to something meaningful and impactful for the localization industry.
What does your current position entail?
My role is to ensure that the Americas’ team is prepared and has the tools to grow our customer base and support our existing customers while cultivating an environment of collaboration and innovation. By doing this, we aim to exceed our customers’ expectations and achieve our organizational goals.
What is your vision for the Americas Hub?
My vision for the Americas Hub is to continue building on the team’s recent momentum and establish memoQ as the leading TMS provider in the region. A key priority will be expanding into the MT market with our offerings, memoQ AGT and globalese by memoQ. This will allow us to continue providing world-class offerings within the memoQ ecosystem for our customers. I am thrilled about the opportunities ahead and am committed to ensuring that memoQ continues to see significant growth in the Americas.
What do you like most about the translation industry?
I have always appreciated the translation industry’s collaborative culture and its commitment to creating impactful solutions. It is a space where professionals support one another, driven by a shared goal of breaking down language barriers and fostering global communication.
How would you describe the memoQ team?
The memoQ team is dynamic and driven. It is inspiring to work alongside individuals who bring unique perspectives and skills to the table. What stands out to me is our shared commitment to pushing boundaries and always looking for ways to better serve our customers. The team’s enthusiasm and genuine passion for what we do creates a truly energizing environment.
What has been your greatest achievement so far at memoQ?
Being so new, I am not sure I have many achievements to speak of, but I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand how our technology can alleviate challenges and open up new possibilities for businesses. Contributing to memoQ’s growth in the Americas and helping establish us as the trusted partner in the region is the achievement I hope to be able to speak to next year.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy spending time with my family - my wife, Nela, our daughter, Alba, and our Aussie Doodle, Teddy. I also love traveling and exploring new places, skiing, movies, books, and playing in poker tournaments. It feels like it has been a while since I have participated in most of these hobbies, but I still consider them my hobbies.
