In this edition of our Sales Hubs introduction series, meet Levente Bundik, Solution Engineer, problem solver, and all-around creative mind at memoQ’s WEMEA Hub. He shares what brought him to memoQ, how he turns tricky workflows into smooth solutions, and the hobbies that keep his imagination buzzing.

Hi Levente, please introduce yourself in a few words!

Hi, I am Levente Bundik, a millennial Hungarian navigating the stormy waters of the 21st century, with music in my ears and a smile on my face. I currently live in both my hometown in the countryside and in Budapest.

When and why did you join memoQ?

I joined memoQ in 2020. On a hunch, it seemed like an interesting company and a way to enter a new world of technology and languages, two of my favourite topics. I started in our esteemed Support team and then transitioned into my current role in our WEMEA hub. For me, this transition was a natural evolution of my professional skillset.

What does your current position entail?

As a solution engineer, I help my team with product demos and workflow assessments. Another one of my responsibilities is helping our customers and prospects become familiar with memoQ, and introducing new workflows and methods to further increase productivity while maintaining ease of use.

What do you enjoy most about your position?

Helping people is a very uplifting part of my position, and getting to know people who also enrich my life with their experience or different views of the language industry.

What do you like most about the translation industry?

There is a diversity in the industry that is hardly matched in other areas, and in my personal experience, the whole industry feels like a very big family. When I get the chance to travel to industry events, I already have a few familiar faces to greet me, and I always get to know new people.

How would you describe the memoQ team?

A group of professionals who love languages and technology, dealing with problems that wouldn’t exist without languages or technology, and it is working out very well.

What are your hobbies?

I’d consider my main hobby music (all aspects of it), with reading/movies/gaming as a close second. A big part of my musical journey is learning new instruments and adding them to my skillset. In contrast, I also love to be outdoors and do lighter or more hardcore hiking trips, or just generally go on road trips.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

If memoQ taught me it was that being kind costs a lot less, and getting to know people changes your life and your worldview in ways you wouldn’t think.
