Hi Magda, please introduce yourself in a few words!
Hello! Cześć! My name is Magda, and I’m a Customer Success Manager at memoQ. I am based in Bielsko-Biała, Poland – right in the Beskid Mountains. I have a linguistic background, and I’ve been a part of the localization industry, both with LSPs and the enterprise side of the business, since the beginning of my professional career in the early 2010s.
When and why did you join memoQ?
In 2025, I joined memoQ after many years of managing translation and localization. Over time, I saw and personally experienced how the success of localization teams depends on the right technology, and I wanted to be more directly involved in that space. On a personal note, I’ve been a memoQ user (and fan!) for years. It quickly became my favorite tool and TMS. Joining memoQ felt like a natural next step, and I am very excited to work with a product I know can make a real difference for its users.
What does your current position entail?
As a Customer Success Manager, I work closely with clients in Central and Eastern Europe, the Nordic region, and select Asian countries. My role is to ensure they succeed with memoQ, understanding that success can vary for each customer. Whether it means helping clients find growth opportunities by leveraging memoQ functionalities, supporting them in setting up efficient workflows, or guiding them through challenges, I aim to be a trusted partner in their journey. I also act as a bridge between clients and our internal teams, making sure their feedback and needs are heard so we can continuously improve their experience with memoQ.
What do you enjoy most about your position?
I enjoy working directly with clients – getting to know their processes and workflows, listening to their needs, and helping them navigate the translation technology landscape by ensuring they make the most of their memoQ subscription. I also appreciate the variety. One day we might be guiding a client through the onboarding process, another day supporting their strategy, and another day troubleshooting a particularly complex process. No two days are ever the same, and that keeps the work exciting.
What do you like most about the translation industry?
What I enjoy most about the translation industry is its diversity, both in people and perspectives. Everyone approaches translation from a different angle: linguists, project managers, engineers, and product teams each bring unique expertise and approaches. I also appreciate how forward-looking the industry is. We have been the early adopters of AI and other technologies that boost productivity, long before AI became a mainstream topic. Combined with constant innovation in tools and workflows, it’s an industry that never stands still, which makes it both exciting and inspiring to be part of. And while the industry is very global by nature, it’s also a close-knit community. After a few years in the field, you keep crossing paths with former colleagues, vendors, and clients. It’s always such a pleasure to reconnect, which really shows how relationship-focused we are.
How would you describe the memoQ team?
The memoQ team is amazing! Everyone is genuinely helpful and willing to share their knowledge. From day one, I’ve felt supported in learning the ropes, asking questions, and figuring out new challenges. It’s a team where people truly care about each other’s success, which makes coming to work every day both motivating and enjoyable.
What are your hobbies?
I love traveling with my family. Last year we travelled quite far away from home – to Southeast Asia - and completely fell in love with Malaysia. I also enjoy gardening, especially getting to use all the noisy garden machinery. I practice yoga, and I’m passionate about cooking, particularly exploring new vegetarian recipes.
