By Peter Reynolds.
The Observer newspaper used to have a regular article where they would phone a very exclusive restaurant and ask for a table. “I am very sorry but we are completely full,” would be the usual reply and then the journalists would tell them that the table was for Mick Jagger. The person at the restaurant would then go off and discover that they can in fact make room for Mr. Jagger. In the Observer article they would produce tables for various celebrities showing who was most likely to get a table when the restaurant was already full.
memoQfest is now very close to full capacity. We are not yet at the stage where you have to claim that you are registering on behalf of Sir Michael Philip Jagger who would be willing to give a short recital if only we let him attend. At present the train the trainer course on Tuesday April 12 is full and the pre-conference day master-classes in memoQ, TM-Repository and qTerm are full. The conference is being held in the Gundel Restaurant which has a maximum capacity of 240 people. Because of this we are likely to have to close registration early. There are about 30 more places available. In order to avoid disappointment, book very soon or lie about your identity.
