memoQweb: Smarter Reporting and Enterprise-Ready Features

memoQweb is the browser-based interface of memoQ TMS, designed to give project managers, linguists, and stakeholders access to their localization workflows without needing the desktop app. As part of your memoQ TMS license, it's available at no extra cost—and with every release, it continuously gains new capabilities for managing complex, multilingual projects.

In versions 12.1 and 12.2, we focused heavily on reporting. Here's what has changed, and why it matters to your team.

 

"I need this report, but pulling it manually takes too long."

For a long time, generating meaningful reports in memoQ meant opening the desktop app, manually exporting files, and repeating the process whenever something changed. For enterprise localization teams managing multiple projects and stakeholders, that overhead added up quickly — and by the time the data reached the right person, it may have already been out of date.

Now, project managers can create, preview, and download reports directly from memoQweb. This includes reviewer change reports, post-translation analyses, progress reports, and tracked changes in documents reports. Everything lives in the Reports tab, accessible from any browser, as a part of your existing translation workflow management.

No desktop. No waiting. Just the data you need, when you need it.

 

"I don't know if this report is even what I need until I've already sent it."

Generating a report and sending it blindly is a real risk. If the wrong files are included, or the right ones are missing, you're back to square one, explaining the error to whoever is on the receiving end.

The Scope column solves this potential issue before it becomes a problem. It shows exactly how many files are included in each report, and one click gives you the full document list. Pair that with Report Preview, which lets you see the report immediately after creating it, and you can verify that everything is correct before it leaves your hands.

 

"Our stakeholders all need the data in different formats."

Finance wants an Excel file. You need a CSV for the purchase order. A language lead wants to see only their target language, not the full project. Accommodating all of this used to mean extra steps, extra exports, and extra room for error.

memoQweb now handles this in one place. Bulk download lets you export one or more reports at once in HTML, CSV, or Excel. For analysis reports specifically, you can:

  • Export only the languages you select
  • Download a separate file per target language
  • Pull all target languages into a single file
  • Generate an analysis report for specific documents from the document list

Everyone gets what they need without you manually doing it three times over.

 

"I can't trust these numbers. Something always seems off."

Reporting is only valuable if the data is accurate. If tracked changes are being aggregated across users instead of broken out by role, or if reviewer reports are missing target languages, decisions get made on flawed information.

In 12.2, we made several reliability improvements. Tracked changes reports now calculate data by role, not across users. Reviewer change reports now show all target languages assigned to a user in multi-language projects, in both preview and exports.

On top of this, the new LQA Overview report gives you a full picture of quality statistics for any project. Now, when a stakeholder asks how quality is tracking across your localization management platform, you'll have a real answer ready.

 

"Finding the report I need takes longer than it should."

When you're managing multiple projects and reports are piling up, scrolling through a long list is a small but consistent drain on your time. The new Filter by creator option lets you sort reports by who generated them—whether that's a specific team member or the system itself.

It's a small change that adds up quickly when you're doing it every day.
