This post looks at how memoQ is becoming more intuitive, Kilgray support is improving and Kilgray is maturing as a company. Some reasons for our customers to be cheerful.
I know it is a touch arrogant suggesting something about my company or my company’s products would give its customers reasons to be cheerful but I am doing it anyway. We have mentioned before in this blog and elsewhere we are now ten years old. István put it well in his post on this topic when he pointed out it is what Kilgray does in the future that is important. I would like to highlight three areas where we are making significant progress. I believe this progress will continue and these are good reasons for our customers to be cheerful.
memoQ is becoming more intuitive
The most contraversial part of the memoQ 2014 R2 release was the ribbon. It seemed that regardless of whether people were for or against it they had opinions and wanted to discuss it. Shai Nave even interviewed our system architect, Mónika Antonovic, on the Transation Therapy blog. The issue that some people had with the ribbon was that they had learnt how to find commands and now would have to re-learn this. This perfectly illustrates the problem which the ribbon solved. While we tried to make memoQ intuitive sometimes where the link or button for a command had to be found and was not in the most natural place. What we have done with memoQ 2014 R2 is make the commands in memoQ much easier to navigate and grouped them together in the obvious place. It is nice to have experts who know where to find every command in memoQ is. It is even nicer when every command is in an obbious place where everyone can find it.
